Your pups will have a doggone good time staying cool!

The dog days of summer are officially here! And that means things are hot... very hot—especially for Alex and Mauricio at their home in Dallas, Texas. And if they're hot, we just know their dog George is really feeling the heat. Just look at all that fluff!

Of course, Georgie gets to spend plenty of time lounging in the comfort of AC, but he's also a big fan of walks around the block and "Bark at the Park" events. Though after a few hours in the sun, even just playing in the backyard, a cool down is very necessary. Alex’s tip for helping him do just that? Grab a splash pad (or one of the best dog pools) to put in your yard. Okay, maybe this idea first came from Ree with Duke in his doggy pool, but either way, it's a winner!

In the midst of playtime over the weekend, Alex took to Instagram to share her (and George's) splash pad recommendation. The VISTOP Splash Pad for Kids and Dogs can be found on Amazon for less than $25! Here's what makes it so paw-some: The splash pad is made of thick, heavy-duty PVC with a non-slip mat that's built specifically to withstand our puppies and all their ruff-housing. Plus, it has a double-edge design to bear water pressure and prevent any ruptures during use.

Along with the splash pad, you'll also get several repair patches (just in case it ever tears), and a PVC connector so you can easily attach your garden hose. To set it up, you'll just lay out the mat, hook up the hose then turn on the water. The sprinkler level can easily be adjusted by changing the faucet pressure and the direction of spray can be adjusted by moving the tube around.

The splash pad comes in several size and color options so you can pick the best product for you and your pup. And to make sure it lasts through the summer, just be sure to trim your dog's nails before they jump in. Not only will your furry friends feel nice and refreshed, but they'll have a doggone good time, too!
